Kate O'Shea
In 2013 I trained at the Academy of Makeup Melbourne Australia and in 2014 moved to the UK to train with award winning makeup artist Louise Constad at her makeup school in London. Following that I began to work in the industry, then wanting to expand my skills further in 2016 I trained at Neill Gorton Studios learning the art of prosthetics, sfx and character makeup. In 2020 I trained at the Kevin Fortune Hair Styling Academy specialising in Afro Hair Styling.
I have worked with brands such as Stella Artois, John Lewis, NIKE, Yamaha, Missoma, Under Armour Pandora, Lego and Google.
In 2019 I created sfx makeup for a campaign about Domestic Violence, called ‘The Not-so- Beautiful Game’. The campaign won Gold at Cannes Lions.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working alongside a diverse array of talent, from sports personalities like Anthony Joshua and Max Whitlock to acclaimed artists such as Self Esteem and The Big Moon and esteemed actors like Olivia Coleman, Charlotte Ritchie and Laura Main.
My work has been featured in Vera magazine, Vulkan magazine, Solstice magazine and In London magazine.
What I love about makeup is the variety and expressiveness of it as a medium. I enjoy working with different people in new environments. I always look after my clients and I take care of the job at hand.
I am always keen to collaborate with creatives to broaden my skills and experiences in the makeup industry. I am efficient, enthusiastic and pro active in my work and I look forward to working with you.
Kate.
